Steven had his three month check up today with Dr. Bridgham. He weighs 15 lbs 15 oz (93rd percentile), he's 26 1/4 inches long (off the charts), and his head is 16 1/2 inches (70th percentile). He's as healthy as can be and the doctor was very proud of his night sleeping habits (as are his mom and dad, I might add!). The back of his head is getting a little flat on his right side because he favors that side, so we just have to start directing him to look at toys and things on his left side to even...
Steven will be three months old on Wednesday...I can't believe it! Time has simply flown by. It seems like only yesterday I was itching to go into labor and now I'm headed back to work. :(
Every day is a new adventure with him. We have survived his first ear infection this past week. I didn't even realize he had one. He was a little congested and he threw up his 10 o'clock bottle so I called the doctor and they had me come in. His left ear was infected. We caught it early though, and he never ran a fever...
Steven is starting to enjoy tummy time, now that he's getting stronger. He's also figuring out how to escape from tummy time by rolling from belly to back. He did it for the first time yesterday, although it's not captured in these pictures.
Steven has discovered this weird feeling thing in his mouth called his tongue. Lately he much prefers to move that around than suck on a pacifier, which is fine with me.
He’s also getting better at holding his head up (notice the multi-tasking, holding his head up while also playing with his tongue).
Finally, he’s holding on to rattles. He won’t pick them up on his own, but after I gave this one to him he held it for a long time, shaking it a couple of times…just waiting for him to conk himself in the head for the first (of many)...
