Steven had his three month check up today with Dr. Bridgham.  He weighs 15 lbs 15 oz (93rd percentile), he's 26 1/4 inches long (off the charts), and his head is 16 1/2 inches (70th percentile).  He's as healthy as can be and the doctor was very proud of his night sleeping habits (as are his mom and dad, I might add!).  The back of his head is getting a little flat on his right side because he favors that side, so we just have to start directing him to look at toys and things on his left side to even everything out.  He has a slight case of cradle cap, but nothing a little scrubbing can't take care of.  All in all, he's a happy, healthy boy.

I am officially back at work.  It has been suprisingly fine.  I've been ultra busy trying to catch up on everything, so I think that has helped.  My first day back in the office was quite chaotic because Andrew was in Little Rock and Steven and I were leaving the house at 7:35 a.m. when i discovered i had a very flat tire.  Andrew walked me through changing it on the phone from Little Rock and I ended up having to get a whole new tire, so $200 and a few hours later, i ended up not making it to the office on the first day until 10:30.  But i think all the craziness helped distract me from leaving Steven.  He seems to be adjusting to Sue with no major issues, which is a big relief to me.

As far as his latest tricks are concerned, he has not yet rolled over again. We thought it was going to happen on Saturday morning, but he can't quite negotiate how to deal with the arm that gets in the way.  He's got the leverage with his hips and legs figured out so he can get on his side, but that darn arm drives him nuts.  He's starting to bat at things and is beginning to figure out that he can cause the chimes on his activity mat to make noise by hitting in their general direction and making contact every once in a while.  Watching his brain work is absolutely amazing.  His newest favorite past time is kicking the wall of the tub furiously while dad is trying to give him a bath.  He's also discovered that cooing is alot of fun, especially when the spit in the back of his throat makes it sound extra funny.

His next big event is coming up on May 15 when he will be baptized at All Saints Episcopal Church, the same church where Andrew and I were married. We only wish that Father Michael were still there to do the baptism, but oh well.  My whole family is coming to town for the weekend and it will be the first time my brother and his wife get to see him, and the first time my Dad will get to spend longer than a couple of hours with him, so it should be a great weekend.
