Officially 4 months and 1 day, Steven had his (wait... can you guess?) 4 month checkup (free dirty diaper to those who got it right) today where we found he was 18lbs, 9oz (97th percentile), 17” head (75th percentile), and 27.5” long (100th percentile)... those numbers are better than almost any of dad's grades in college! Steven has been a busy boy in the last week, and you'll find evidence in Gallery 25.
First, he spent Monday hanging out with Papa Goody and Mom. He tried out his new rocking chair that was his Papa Goody's when he was a little boy. We think it fits him just right!
Saturday afternoon, he met a new friend Mickey Mouse that his mom & dad's friends Kara & Chris gave him as a baptism present. He thought Mickey was pretty cool.
Finally, he spent Sunday afternoon at the Connell grandparent's house to meet new family members John, Penny, Christopher and Kim who were...
Steven was baptized on Sunday, May 15 at All Saints Episcopal Church, the same church where Andrew and I were married. He was great through the service, and only squawked once after the third trickle of water on his head. We had a party afterwards at the Connell grandparents house. After all the festivities, he was simply exhausted and we're paying for it now with shortened naps and early morning waking (he woke up this morning at 5 a.m., although I did get him back to sleep). Hopefully he'll be back to normal in a couple of days.
My whole family...
