Steven turned nine months old on October 26 (where did the time go?!?).  He weighs 26.4 pounds and is 31 inches long. It probably goes without saying that he's in the top 99th percentile for his age in the height and weight category.  The doctor says he is very healthy and developing right on schedule.

He still doesn't have any teeth (I feel like a broken record on this subject...I swear, I can see them under his gums!!!) but that hasn't stopped him from exploring stage three foods and finger foods.  Andrew and I had our first choking episode on Sunday night and scared the bejeezus out of us.  We've decided that he'll be eating pureed foods for the rest of his life, or at least until he's out of our care!  Seriously, it was quite a scary moment.  I am glad we took the infant CPR class.  Not that we remembered anything that we learned, but at least we had the booklet to review after the crisis resolved itself (not without some regurgitated baby food on me and the floor) and Andrew and I caught our breath.

He's crawling like crazy...true to form, once he figured out how to move, he won't stop.  He has also learned how to pull up to standing.. Watch out world, here he comes!

We celebrated his first Halloween in traditional first-time working parent style...running frantic!  He was Albert the Gator, thanks to hours of time and lots of energy spent on his costume by his Gramma Iddy.  Since we were too late for pictures, we're going to re-enact the event soon!  Not the first holiday we'll have to re-enact due to poor timing on our part, I'm sure.

I'm way overdue in posting new pictures.  You can see some new ones here.
